Routes & Trails
Their are many routes and trails to walk, run and cycle that vary in difficulty. For example their is a range of easy family walks, such as the Glencoe Lochan, Inchree waterfall, Lost Valley in Glencoe and The Devil’s Staircase (West Highland Way).
There are also moderate to difficult walks like Ben Nevis, Ring of Steall, The Pap of Glencoe and the Three Sisters for the more experienced and adventurous.
For the sightseers among you we provide information on route taking in some of the best scenery the West Coast has to offer including the road to Mallaig following the world famous Jacobite Steam Train journey ( Hogwarts Express) and on to the Kyle of Lochalsh passing Eliean Donan Castle, the most photographed castle in the world and featured in the film Highlander.
A Relaxed Approach
If you just want to relax or build a sandcastle and go for a paddle why not let us guide you to Camus Darrach, Silver Sands or Singing Sands, regarded as some of the most beautiful pristine coral and sandy beaches in the world.
For the Island Hoppers we provide you with all you need to know to get the best that the Isle of Skye and Mull have to offer and how to get there.
We give a full verbal brief accompanied by an A4 map marking your route for each day trip, showing destinations and places of interests and associated information leaflets.
At Highland Croft we have a strong duty of care toward our guests. For your piece of mind we keep a hill walking register where we enter your contact details, car registration and equipment carried to the mountains. In effect we become your base camp.
We ask our guests to contact us by text when they are off the mountain. If we do not hear from you within 1 hour of your e.t.a. we will take appropriate action. We also provide free basic survival equipment.
Highland Croft is ideally situated for winter activities in both Nevis Range Mountain Resort and Glencoe Mountain Resort where you can enjoy great skiing and snow boarding.
The world renowned Ice Factor in nearby Kinlochleven, houses the worlds largest indoor climbing wall.
There is also some fantastic winter walking to enjoy in the area.

There are many great places to eat out in our area, from world renowned seafood restaurants to fine dining and family friendly, some on our doorstep and many others within 20 minutes drive.
The choice of restaurants is wide and varied, as is the style and origin of food, you will find quality dining close at hand to suit all tastes. Highland hospitality is famously second to none!
